Barrett Civil Engineering UK Limited was set up in Scunthorpe North Lincolnshire earlier last year due to the continual growth of the individual businesses within the Barrett Group. Barrett Civil Engineering UK Limited was set up to take on all our future civil engineering contracts, leaving Barrett Group UK Limited to carry on with all existing and future building contracts which it was originally set up to do so.

At Barrett Civil Engineering we specialise in all aspects of Formed Reinforced Concrete (FRC) works from the ground up, this includes excavation, ground works, fixing of the steel reinforcement, design, supply and erection of the formwork and the pouring and finishing of the concrete. We pride ourselves on being a modern flexible sub-contractor that can fulfil all our client’s requirements safely within budget and to programme. We directly employ experienced engineers and construction managers who are trained and have a range of skills and technical knowledge that they are able to bring to the table. We are able to create, monitor and manage detailed construction programmes.

We directly employ staff whom are trained, competent and experienced in carrying out various roles associated with lifting operations. This includes Crane Supervisors and Slinger Signallers who are able to safely manage our lifting activities on site. We also directly employ experienced trained Appointed Persons (lifting) who, between them, have many years of extensive experience in planning heavy complex lifts and standard crane lifts along with smaller attendance lifting activities.

We are capable of carrying out work on a wide variety of contracts nationwide ranging from the provision of fully trained and certified operatives on a labour-only basis to completing full labour, plant and material packages up to £15 million in value.
